Earnings Disclaimer

No promised results
Articles on First Journal explain how a service or way of working operates. They do not promise, predict or imply any level of income. Earnings vary from person to person and are not guaranteed, and nothing we publish should be read as a forecast of what you will be paid.
Why results differ
Where an article covers paid project work, the amount any one person receives depends on matters we cannot see or control, including:
- whether an application is accepted, and how long it takes;
- whether projects are open for your niche, your demographic and your country;
- the budget a brand sets, and the price you agree with it;
- the quality of the work you hand in, and whether it needs revisions;
- the time you are able to put in.
Personal accounts
Diaries and first-person pieces reflect one writer’s look at a service. They are not typical or expected results and are not an invitation to rely on a particular outcome.
Not professional advice
Our articles are not financial, tax or employment advice. Income from freelance work may be taxable where you live, and you are responsible for your own obligations. Consider speaking with a qualified adviser before you make decisions that depend on extra income.
Providers set their own terms
Eligibility, pay and payment terms are set by the provider of the service, not by First Journal. Please read the provider’s current terms before you register. See the Affiliate disclosure for how our links work.
