1. Who is responsible for your data
MEDIA MAZE LTD, company number 12259120, of Enterprise House, The Courtyard, Bromborough, Merseyside, United Kingdom, CH62 4UE, publishes First Journal and is responsible for the personal data handled through this site.
2. What this site does and does not collect
First Journal has no user accounts, no comment sections, no newsletter sign-up and no forms. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details, and we do not run analytics, advertising or tracking tools on the site.
Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages may automatically record technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use this only to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix faults, and we keep it only for as long as is needed for those purposes.
3. Files loaded from other providers
To display and operate the pages, your browser loads styling and script files from content delivery networks, at cdn.tailwindcss.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net. When your browser requests those files, the providers receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Those providers handle that information under their own policies.
4. Links to other websites
Some articles contain links to websites run by other companies. A link may include a campaign identifier in its web address so the provider can see that a visit began on First Journal. We do not add to or change these links with scripts. Once you follow a link you are on the other company’s website, and its own privacy notice applies to anything you do there, including any registration.
5. Why we handle data and on what basis
The limited technical data described above is handled because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website. We do not sell personal data.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data held about you, including the right to ask what we hold, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to certain handling, and to complain to a data protection authority. In the United Kingdom that authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office. If you are in Canada, you may have comparable rights under the privacy laws that apply to you.
7. Changes to this notice
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
8. Contact
To ask a question or make a request about personal data, write to us at the address on the Contact page. See also our Cookies notice.
